Day 8. The Power of Music

I had no idea what to write about "the power of music." It's not because I don't like listening to music, rather, I just have no idea. What power? Is it kind of supranatural one? However, this blog is titled 30-Day Writing Challenge so, I've accepted the challenge and now there's no way I can resist. Furthermore, writing about music don't do me any harm.

I like to listen to lo-fi music lately, maybe since 2 years ago when I started my new job? I don't really remember. I found it coincidently, those days when I was bored to popular music I usually listen to. I mean, music with lyrics - songs. I scrolled through YouTube, then I might be captivated with the cute illustration they use for backgrounds.

As soon as the melody started, I felt like being in another dimension, somewhere without everyday hustle and bustle, somewhere serene and tranquil. I think lo-fi suits my taste of music: I don't like sophisticated music like classic, even though it may make me classy or exclusive or something. I don't like that. Lo-fi is a kind of music everybody can listen to, maybe people who despise popular music can accept lo-fi track too.

I love pure instrumental lo-fi because it has the chilling agent at the highest level. When I was stressed out or tired with zillions of buzz out there, I automatically search for The Jazz Hop CafĂ©, Chillhop, Dreamy to name a few.

So, here we go, one lo-fi melody I randomly picked. Enjoy.
